About Dr. Lisa Acocella
My passion for health and wellness comes directly from my own personal journey. For much of my childhood and early adult life, I struggled with low energy, poor immunity, weight gain, and chronic health challenges including migraines, fatigue, and fibromyalgia. By my twenties, I felt like I was stuck in a body that just wouldn’t cooperate. I was tired of being sick and tired, and tired of relying on medications.
Everything changed in 1991 when I discovered the book Fit for Life. That was the spark that led me to the National Health Association, where I was introduced to a whole-food, plant-based, SOS-free lifestyle and the healing power of fasting. Over time, I lost more than 80 pounds, regained my vitality, and was finally able to step off the cycle of medications. Fasting and plant-based nutrition became cornerstones of my life — tools I still use to maintain my health and energy today.
That transformation inspired me to change my career and dedicate my life to helping others find the same kind of healing. I left the world of information systems, enrolled at Sherman College of Chiropractic, and graduated in 1999 as valedictorian of my class. Since then, I’ve built a wellness-centered practice where I offer gentle chiropractic care, nutrition guidance, and lifestyle support — always with the goal of helping people feel their best and take charge of their own health.
In 2001, another layer of wellness opened up for me when a dear friend introduced me to the principles of Feng Shui and Space Clearing. I was amazed by how much our environments reflect and influence our health, relationships, and happiness. Since then, I’ve been studying and sharing Feng Shui, offering consultations that help people clear, balance, and align their spaces so that their goals and dreams feel supported by the very places they spend their time.
Whether through food-as-medicine, chiropractic healing, or the flow of energy in your home or office, my mission is to empower you to create the health, balance, and joy you deserve.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll often find me outdoors in nature, practicing yoga, watching a good movie, or spending time with friends.
Here’s to living well — in your body, in your mind, and in all of your spaces.
